Apparently I took a little vacation from blogging... it wasn't my intention, but since it's been 11 days since my last post, clearly that's what happened. I've been using my vacation time to see lots of friends and family. And to do a ton of baking (unsurprisingly).
Last year, I started January with a Whole30. That's not my ambition for January 2018, but I am committed to cutting out sugar/sweeteners for the month, plus I'm letting Caleb do all the grocery planning. In light of that, this week's idea post is very simple, veggie plus meat dishes, since that's pretty much what we'll be eating. Yes, it's from a Whole 30 cookbook, but look past that and these should be simple, fast and easy recipes that you can serve with rice or bread on the side if you so desire.
A) Orange Chicken with Cauliflower Rice
B) Fennel Soup with Spinach and Spicy Sausage
C) Garlicky Pepper Beef with Crunchy Cabbage
D) Thai Chicken and Brussels Sprout Skillet
E) Sheet Pan Shrimp with Sesame Broccoli
all from Whole30 Fast and Easy Recipes
E) Sheet Pan Shrimp with Sesame Broccoli has my vote this week. I thought about D but Dallas is not a fan of Brussel sprouts (I wasn't as a child either but have had them as an adult and did think they were pretty good).
I vote for A) and B) in that order:)
Happy New Year Kat!
Can I vote for all of them? Sounds like easy weeknight dinners and I'm always looking for new ideas! If I really need an order, I'll got for D-A-C-E-B 🙂
Given the complete lack of consensus here, I’m going to go with E-A-B based on time of vote for the next three posts. Thanks to ME for covering D! ...which only leaves C, so I guess I’ll just have to try that one too...
